“I fell in love with photography long before it became “content.” I grew up studying thick family photo albums, mostly Polaroids shot by my Pops, who had an artist’s eye for composition. Those images taught me how a simple frame can hold a whole world, even with muddy color and no zoom. By junior high I was burning through disposable cameras (selfie king, respectfully), and by high school, a summer photography course at Cranbrook Kingswood sharpened my obsession with light, timing, and candid moments. That path carried me from Oakland Community College (under Rob Kangas) to the College for Creative Studies, and ultimately to Eastern Michigan University, where my focus evolved into film and broadcast…training my eye not just to take pictures, but to direct them. Photography is still home base for me: a lifelong practice of collecting honest moments and turning everyday life into something you can feel”.
